Petition Process

All petitions are reviewed by the Committee On Study Abroad (COSA). Petition deadlines are earlier than the regular SAGE Application deadline so be sure to plan accordingly.

Petitions are submitted for the following reasons:

• Participation on a non-approved program
• Participation on a program for a full year
• Participation for more than one semester on different programs
• Participation as in the first semester of senior year or second semester of sophomore year, if space is available.
• Waiver of the Scripps language requirements
• GPA is below 9.0 in language classes for any program with previous language study required.
