Students have their classes pre-approved by their faculty adviser(s) and or the Registrar as part of the application process. This assures that classes can count towards graduation requirements as expected.
Resident credit is awarded, meaning that all grades are factored into the student's cumulative GPA. Students may request to take up to one class per semester on a Pass/Fail basis which has no impact on the GPA.
The course title and grade are posted on the Scripps transcript once the official program transcript is received. It can take one to three months to receive a transcript from study abroad programs and one or two may take longer. Students should consult the program sponsor to determine when they can expect the transcript to be processed.
