We are excited to inform you about
October Quest
a month-long SAGE event!

There will be virtual sessions offered each day
with presentations by our program partners
for you to explore your options for study away programs.

Attend them all to hear about the range of opportunities,
or target your interests for certain locations.

All our partners are eager to meet you
and tell you about the advantages of their programs and all they have to offer.

Watch Instagram and Facebook for more details about the events for each week
and check the Announcements Box each day for the links to events of each day.

We hope to see you there as you begin your quest for a SAGE program that is right for you!

Greeting to Our Visitors!

What is SAGE?  The acronym stands for Study Abroad and Global Education and SAGE provides a unique academic opportunity for you to extend the critical inquiries begun in the Core sequence and your other classes at Scripps to a semester outside of Claremont. Studying, interning and living in a new environment for a semester, whether in another country or on an internship program in Washington D.C. or as a visiting student in Atlanta or Honolulu helps to develop the intercultural competence and innovative leadership skills required for success in our increasingly interdependent world. There is an interesting journey ahead of you as you explore the SAGE possibilities and determine whether a SAGE experience is right for you. The path starts here!

The SAGE office is here to support students as they consider whether a semester outside of Claremont is an option they want to include in their academic career at Scripps College.  Our office includes the director, Neva Barker, and the assistant director, Tressi Turkmany, along with a talented team of student interns who provide programming throughout the semester like SAGE Chats (informal gatherings with Scripps SAGE returnees), and the Annual SAGE Fair that happens each fall.  Watch the Announcements box on this page for information on the fair, the weekly SAGE Information Sessions and other events throughout the year.  We hope you will visit often.

If you would like to view a snapshot of the many options available through SAGE, you can hear directly from Scripps students who have returned by browsing through the profiles of SAGE alums on the main Scripps College web site.
